Purite — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 June 2026

Purite is an offline, local image gallery for Windows and Linux that displays pictures from folders you choose. It is published by SIA Bolwarra (trading as Bolwarra Technologies), a company registered in Riga, Latvia.

Purite does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

1. What we collect

Nothing. Purite has no user accounts and requires no sign-in. It makes no network connections and sends no analytics or telemetry. There are no advertising SDKs.

2. What Purite accesses and stores

Purite only reads the image folders you point it at. To do its job it keeps the following on your own device:

  • the folder paths you add, so it knows where to look;
  • basic image details (such as file names and dimensions) used to lay out the grid;
  • your settings and preferences;
  • a local diagnostic log to help with troubleshooting.

All of this stays entirely on your computer. We never see it and it never leaves your device. Your pictures are yours — Purite simply displays them.

3. What Purite does not do

  • No internet connections and no uploads — your images are never sent anywhere.
  • No telemetry, analytics, or usage tracking.
  • No user accounts, sign-in, or profiles.
  • No advertising and no third-party SDKs.

4. Network and external links

Purite makes no network connections of its own. If you click a link inside the app, your operating system opens it in your default browser. We do not see or log what you clicked.

5. The Microsoft Store

On Windows, Purite is distributed through the Microsoft Store. When you install, update, or run a Store app, Microsoft may collect installation and crash data under its own privacy policy. This is standard for any Store app, happens outside Purite, and we never receive that data.

6. EU / GDPR rights

Because we do not collect or process personal data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete. SIA Bolwarra is nonetheless the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR. You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection by emailing the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian supervisory authority, Datu valsts inspekcija (https://www.dvi.gov.lv).

7. Children

Purite is not directed at children under 13. We collect no information about anyone, including children.

8. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. We will never silently weaken your privacy.
